Important Announcement: Closure of Oak Leaf Mobile Veterinary Services
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close Oak Leaf Mobile Veterinary Services. This decision was not made lightly, and we are grateful for the trust and support you have shown us over the years.
We want to express our heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity to care for your beloved pets. It has been a privilege to serve you and your furry family members.
For any ongoing care or veterinary needs, we encourage you to reach out to local veterinary clinics in your area. They will be happy to assist you and provide the care your pets deserve.
Thank you once again for being a part of the Oak Leaf family. We wish you and your pets all the best in the future.
Warm regards,
The Oak Leaf Team

Melissa Finke, DVM
Oak Leaf Mobile Veterinary Services was started in 2021 by Dr. Melissa Finke with a mission to provide quality care for dogs and cats in the low stress comfort of their own homes.
Dr. Finke grew up on Long Island, New York but followed her family on a move to Georgia after her high school graduation. She has been here ever since. Having earned her undergrad degree from the University of Georgia, she followed that with a veterinary degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.
For the next 22 years, Dr. Finke worked in traditional veterinary practices focused on medicine, surgery and preventative care. Her last 13 years were spent in a busy 24 hour hospital where she also honed her skills as an emergency practitioner. Dr. Finke realized that there was an unmet need for some clients and patients. She knew that there was a better way to practice compassionate care, particularly for geriatric and end-of-life patients, that could also reduce the stressors associated with leaving their safe space. And so began Oak Leaf Mobile Veterinary Services. And Dr. Finke found herself a second career as a housecall veterinarian.

Dr. Finke and her family are residents of Hamilton Mill and have two rescued French bulldogs named Moxie and Archie. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, horseback riding, binge watching HGTV and cheering on her son from the sidelines of his soccer games.
